Offers to purchase any Thorhild County owned property are subject to Council decision. The properties are being offered for sale, strictly “as-is, where-is” basis. Thorhild County make no representation and gives no warranty, whatsoever, regarding title to or conditions of the property, including any structures, fixtures or chattels located on or within the property.
Specifically, and not so as to limit the generality of the foregoing, the County does not warrant the condition of the property with respect to adequacy of services, soil conditions, building and development conditions, the presence or absence to environmental contamination, or that the current or the intended use complies with applicable land use by-laws.
The County will not establish the property lines either prior to or after the transfer of title.
If you are interested in purchasing a County owned property, please prepare a Letter of Offer addressed to Thorhild County Council and include the following:
County property sold will be subject to property taxes levied in the current year as per the Municipal Government Act Sections 305.1 and 305 (1) (3).
The successful Buyer must enter into a purchase/development agreement at the time of sale.
All appropriate provincial or federal taxes are to be added to the purchase price.
Full payment must be received prior to transferring the title to the Buyer.
