These are the findings of Richard Louv -- educator, Audobon Medal recipient and author of Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature Deficit Disorder. Researchers are presenting a growing body of evidence that supports Louv's findings. The evidence strongly supports the importance of nature to children' health and their ability to learn; connecting children to nature can send calmer, more curious, better-balanced children into the classroom.
