 Localized Flooding Notice : Localized flooding is possible throughout Thorhild County. Residents are encouraged to monitor conditions, avoid flooded areas, and never drive through standing water. Stay informed and follow County updates as conditions change.

Public Notice: Thorhild County - Cash Lease Agreement

Thorhild County has the following land available for lease for agricultural purposes:

  2. Pt SE-31-59-21-W4 – Approx. 140 acres
  3. N ½ of NW-06-60-21-W4 – Lot 1, Plan 782 0249 – Approx. 80 acres
  4. S ½ of NW-06-60-21-W4 – Lot 2, Plan 782 0249 – Approx. 80acres.                
    Tested positive for Clubroot March 2023. Only clubroot resistant canola to be seeded as per Alberta clubroot management plan.
  5. W ½ of NE 06-60-21-W4 - Lot 3, Block 11, Plan 822 1381 Approx. 14 acres
  6. E ½ of NE 06-60-21-W4 - Lot 4, Block 11, Plan 822 1381 – approx. 12 acres

Tenders shall describe the proposed crop rotation of land for a six (6) year term. The lease will commence April 15, 2023, and end on January 1, 2029.

To prevent CLUBROOT infestation, Canola will be grown once every three (3) years.

The County reserves the right to terminate the lease agreement at any time, with compensation to the Lessee for time and expenses incurred at reasonable rates.
