Take Notice that pursuant to Section 70 of the Municipal Government Act R.S.A 2000, Chapter M-26, if a municipality proposes to transfer or grant an estate of interest in a land for less than its market value the proposal must be advertised.

The land is Lot A Plan 792 1846 portion of SW 1-60-22-W4 and is 1.38 acres of vacant agriculture land.  Nearby land is appraised at $4100.  Council is proposing to sell the land for $950.00 plus gst.

Anyone wishing to file a petition regarding the proposed resolution must do so in compliance with the requirements contained in sections 222 – 226 and 231 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A. 2000, c.M-26.

• A petition must be filed with the Chief Administrative Officer of Thorhild County within 60 days after the last date on which the proposed bylaw is advertised.
• Only the electors of a municipality are eligible to be petitioners.
