Shoulder Pulling Program Underway

Shoulder pulling enhances the longevity of gravel roads. With time and use, the surface material of the gravel road spreads out onto the shoulders until the center crown of the road loses its shape. Shoulder-pulling programs bring the gravel material back onto the main road surface. It returns the road to its proper crown height, reduces the need for road rebuilds, repairs problem areas, and is a good practice to maintain the integrity of the road.

Watch for shoulder-pulling activities at the following locations:

  • Township Road 610 from Hwy 63 to Range Road 192
  • Township Road 604 from Range Road 192 to Range Road 200
  • Township Road 590 from Range Road 212 to Range Road 220
  • Township Road 582 from Range Road 201 to Range Road 205

Please slow down and drive according to the posted speed limit.
