Tree Staking Workshop

Interested in learning how to take stakes from existing trees and plant them for shelterbelts, landscaping, or reclamation?

Join us for an afternoon along the beautiful trails of the ACA Lunnford Conservation Site. Lisa Card will be demonstrating how to correctly identify trees to harvest stakes, and how to plant them for the best chance of success.

Date: Late October or Early November (depending on when trees go dormant). Registration deadline is October 18, 2024. Interested participants will be called to confirm the date with as much notice as possible.

Time: Join 1 of 2 groups, either at 3:30-5:00 pm or 5:30-7:00 pm

Cost: FREE!

Supplies to bring: shovel, pruning shears, gloves, hammer, sturdy footwear, warm clothes.

The Town of Crossfield has cancelled the Boil Water Advisory.

The Town of Crossfield advises that the Boil Water Advisory has been cancelled. Residents and businesses are welcome to use their water as normal. Area: (Areas within Crossfield town boundaries.)

The Town of Crossfield has issued a boil water advisory.

The Town of Crossfield advises that the Boil Water Advisory remains in effect. Results from water quality testing by Alberta Health Services are still pending, and the Town anticipates we will be able to provide further direction on the advisory by Saturday evening. Area: (Areas within Crossfield town boundaries.)
