Fire Advisory No Longer in Effect

Effective July 11, 2023, at 2:30 p.m.

The Fire Advisory that took effect on June 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. is no longer in effect.

New fire burn permits will now be issued. Please note, there is up to a 72-hour turnaround for permits as our fire guardians are volunteer members of Thorhild County Emergency Services. The use of burn barrels, cooking fires and warming fires are permitted. Residents and visitors to Thorhild County are advised to be diligent in fire safety practices while conducting any burning.

Fire Permits may now be requested online.

Fire permit burning requirements may be viewed in Bylaw 10-2022.
