On March 26, 2024, County Council updated the Thorhild County Strategic Plan, which includes five primary goals:
-  Assess organizational effectiveness and efficiency
-  Assess aging infrastructure and required repair/replacement
-  Develop additional sources of revenue for growth and sustainability
-  Provide increased transparency and communication to all taxpayers
-  Assess all municipal recreational facilities
