Position Summary

The County is currently recruiting for an Administration Support Clerk for the County Services Department (Tuesday-Friday (8:00 am-4:30 pm).

Reporting to the Director of County Services, the Administration Support Clerk is responsible for providing a wide range of administrative support to the following areas within the department:

      •  
  • Community & Recreation
  • Emergency Services
  • Enforcement Services
  • Legislative Services
Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain business office files and folders, implementing an efficient structure for easy access and retrieval.
  • Responsible for entering and maintaining emergency services database tracking.
  • Excellent communications (both verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills are mandatory.
  • Maintaining absolute confidentiality and discretion is imperative.
  • Proficient in document formatting and business correspondence and excellent grammar, punctuation, spelling, and proofreading skills.
  • Research and assembly of information and preparation of reports and data.
  • Other related duties as determined by the Director of County Services.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in providing clerical support.
  • Municipal experience in the above departments or, at a minimum, working knowledge of municipal government structure.
  • Basic understanding of the Municipal Government Act (MGA).
  • High level proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work accurately and timely, with minimal supervision and as part of a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations and conditions.
  • Well-organized and excellent time management skills.
  • Successful candidate will be required to provide a Criminal Records Check and Driver’s Abstract.
Additional Information

Thorhild County offers a comprehensive benefit program. Salary for this position will be determined by the candidate’s education and experience. Hourly pay range is $30.24-$38.54. Current employees of Thorhild County fulfilling the requirements essential to this position shall be considered.
