Alberta 2020 Disaster Recovery Programs

Residents, businesses, agriculture operations, not for profit organizations within Thorhild County can apply for financial assistance from flooding that occurred in 2020. (Applications and inquiries are to be directed to the Alberta Emergency Management Agency)

  • Apply online beginning September 28, 2020
  • Application deadline: December 23, 2020

If you have experienced uninsurable loss and damage, you may be eligible to receive funding.

Damages caused by overland flooding are eligible for a disaster recovery program. Hail, sewer backup and insurance deductibles do not qualify under the program, as insurance coverage is considered reasonably and readily available for these issues.

The following documents provide important information for the application process.
