At 7:43 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time Saturday, Environment Canada has updated a severe thunderstorm warning for North Central Alberta. Extra care and attention should be exercised. The following localities are included in the warning: Lac Ste. Anne County, Wildwood and Parkland County. Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking an extremely dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing damaging wind gusts, baseball size or greater hail and heavy rain. Area: (Yellowhead Co. near MacKay Wildwood and Evansburg, Lac Ste. Anne Co. near Mayerthorpe and Sangudo, Lac Ste. Anne Co. near Cherhill and Glenevis, Parkland Co. near Entwistle Fallis and Tomahawk, Parkland Co. near Wabamun Carvel and Keephills)

At 6:50 p.m. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. The thunderstorm is just west of MacKay and is moving to the east at 45 km/h. The storm is likely producing hail the size of ping pong to tennis ball size. ### This is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Tornado warnings are issued when a thunderstorm is producing or is likely to produce a tornado. Area: (Yellowhead Co. near MacKay Wildwood and Evansburg, Yellowhead Co. near Peers and Niton Junction)
